Privacy notice
What data we handle, why, and how to exercise your rights. In short: almost none.
Last updated: October 25, 2026. This is an English translation for your convenience; if there is any difference, the Spanish version applies.
In short
- We don’t ask for accounts, we don’t use tracking cookies and we don’t show ads.
- The Mi Voz app saves everything only on your phone: names, photos, recordings and cards. Nothing reaches us.
- The ID badge, letters and messages you fill out on the site aren’t saved or sent: they’re only used to print or copy on your device.
- We only receive the information you send us by email, and we use it only to reply to you.
Who is responsible for your data
Mi Voz is a free, non-profit family initiative of the Leal Carbellido family, in the process of becoming a civil association (asociación civil), based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. For any privacy matter: [email protected].
What data we handle and why
If you write to us at [email protected] (for example, to ask for a guide family, offer to be one, recommend a place or correct the directory), we handle the information you choose to send us: your name, your email or phone, your state and city, and what you tell us about your family.
We use it only to: reply to you, connect you with a guide family if you ask, review and correct the directory, and improve the guide. We don’t sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.
What you tell us about your child’s health or diagnosis is sensitive data. We only use it to guide you, and we never publish it. If you share an experience for us to publish, we’ll do so only with your express permission and without names.
Who we share it with
Only with the guide family who supports you, if you ask for it. We don’t share your data with anyone else, unless an authority requires it under the law.
To operate we use these services: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and forwards emails, and Gmail, where we receive them.
Visit counter
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to know how many people visit each page. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store your IP address and doesn’t follow you to other sites. We only see total numbers, for example how many visits a page had or which country visitors come from.
Your rights (ARCO)
You can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it or object to our using it (the ARCO rights under Mexican law), and you can also withdraw your consent. Write to us at [email protected] with your name, what you’re requesting and a way to reply to you. We’ll answer within 20 business days at most.
