What Mi Voz is
Mi Voz is a free, non-profit family initiative. It offers a picture-based communication app, a guide for families, printable materials and a directory. By using this site you accept these terms.
It doesn’t replace professional care
All the information on this site is general guidance. We wrote it as a family, with sources we cite on each page, but it isn’t medical, therapeutic or legal advice. Always consult professionals for your child’s diagnosis, treatment and paperwork. In an emergency, call 911.
About the directory
- We gather information from public sources: official websites, the SEP’s Registro Nacional de Profesionistas (national registry of licensed professionals), public profiles and recommendations from families in groups, without the names of those who made them.
- Appearing in the directory is not a recommendation or an endorsement, and the Mi Voz Score is only a starting point for your own research. Always verify directly before going.
- Phone numbers, prices and requirements may change. We review the information on the date shown on each page.
- If you’re a professional or institution and want to correct your information or ask us to remove you, write to us at [email protected]. We’ll handle it within 10 business days at most.
Authorship, trademark and licenses
Mi Voz (the name, the logo, the app and its code, the design, the guide’s texts, the printable materials and the voice recordings) is the work of Alejandro Leal and Gabriela Carbellido and is protected by Mexico’s Ley Federal del Derecho de Autor (Federal Copyright Law). © 2026.
- The guide and the printable materials are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 license. You can print, copy, share and adapt them for your child, your school or your practice, as long as you credit Mi Voz and mivozmx.org, don’t sell them or charge for them, and share your adaptations under the same license.
- The app, its code and its design: all rights reserved. You can use it for free, but you can’t copy, modify, publish or distribute it as your own without our written permission.
- The name “Mi Voz” and the logo can’t be used to identify other products, services, pages, groups or campaigns, or to ask for money or donations, without written authorization. If anyone asks you for money in the name of Mi Voz, let us know.
- The ARASAAC pictograms used in the app are by Sergio Palao, owned by the Government of Aragón, under a CC BY-NC-SA license.
- Want to use Mi Voz another way, for example in a workshop or a publication? Write to us at [email protected].
The app runs on your phone and saves everything there. Make backups from its Settings: if you clear your browser data or change phones, you could lose what you created.
